How long does the pendant’s battery last?

Medalert batteries are lithium, which last between 5 to 7 years in normal conditions. Should a battery be nearing replacement, our response centre is automatically notified well in advance.

Can I change the type of pendant I have?

Yes, pendants can be easily changed to be a wristwatch or neck chain anytime whereas with other systems you are committed to the pendant first supplied.

How can I tell if my system is working?

Medalert has a daily test to the response centre. If there is a problem we find out and contact you that day.

Are the pendants water resistant. Can I still shower or bathe with them on?

Yes, the pendants are not only water resistant but they are also completely waterproof too IP67 Ratings, far exceeding the required specifications.

If mains power is disconnected, will my unit and telephone still operate?

Yes, all telephones will still operate normally with the Medalert and more importantly unlike some other products the emergency open voice will still be fully operational.

How long does the units backup battery last if power is disconnected?

The Medalert backup battery can last up to 250 hours and automatically recharges when power is reconnected.
